So About what’s going on with the Boy Scouts
I would like to say that, obviously, I am in favor of the vote to allow openly gay boys and men to be part of the program. But that’s not the point.
I want you, my followers, to know that those who get the attention from the media by speaking out so strongly against the movement do not represent the entire program. I went through all of Boyscouts and eventually reached the highest rank, Eagle. It was one of the best experiences of my life, and there were countless boys and leaders there who accepted everyone regardless of things like sexual preference. It didn’t matter, what mattered was the program. I use many of those lessons on a day to day basis without stepping foot in a forest or campsite.
I could go on and on about this, but I don’t want to cover your entire dash. I just ask that you do not judge the entire scouting program based on the opinions of a few of the higher ups who are afraid of what gay boys and leaders might do in a tent. Thank you.
